Musical Monday
Some awesome music this week. Before we get to that, here's another article on the rise of indie music on tv shows. TV is the new college radio. Anyways, I'm no longer posting music from Love Monkey, because a) I was ready to give up on it and b) it's on hiatus, most likely permanently. Alrighty, have a marvelous musical Monday. Leave comments!

wow, you are so on top of things today! thanks for the music! i was wondering why i couldn't find the acapella version...and now i know. :)
oh, and exercising is great for you. do it. :)
oh, and last i heard, love monkey is cancelled?
yeah I heard that love monkey is cancelled. that saddens me.
Excercise... yeah I should do that too. For a full body work out try swimming or those rowing machines. I'm too lazy to do each limb individually and I'm sure I'm not alone. By the way which favorite show? And I never noticed that you use "just" that often... Oh and thanks for article.
Another happy Monday! Thanks - appreciate how quickly and consistently you update.
I was waiting to find out a song from Love Monkey all week!
CATS!
Annnd, Angela Correa makes 3 friends who've had songs on Grey's Anatomy. I occasionally play cello with her here in L.A. (although I won't be this Wednesday at Molly Malone's), so this is pretty durn sweet. Go Angie!
Thanks, it's great that you take the time to do this every week. Much appreciated.
As usual, you make Mondays more manageable. Thanks!
I think it's great you even found the extended version of the air guitaring...
Also, what are the odds you might give away what the music appearing in The Office is too, since you're a fan of the show? It's a pretty rare occurance given the premise, and it's a bit harder for me to necessarily figure out song titles. There hasn't been quite an equivilent of "Only You" by Yaz in the US version, but it got some momentary internet fervor when Clap Your Hands Say Yeah! was used in one background scene while either SNL or The OC (or maybe even both) couldn't...
Seriously baby sit me! Not only have you provided another great batch of music but we get the infamous Turk dancing clips!?! Love. Love. Love. What a terrific way to start the week. Thanks again.
Monday is now my most favourite day of the week thanks to you! :-D
Hooooooray!
& I'll join ya in the exercising. will get up and turn the channel instead of using the remote. Hahaha
musical monday is sweeter than anna stern from the oc
Nice, very nice. I love this site, it is a weekly drop by for me. THanks for adding the videos, I am in love with Mandy too....
Have a good one, ya'll,
Found you in a roundabout way looking for Gray's Anatomy tunes. Great blog!!!!
I've linked you, and will be back.
DUDE!! You Rock!I enjoy your posts, the music, and now the video clips! So all I need to do is wait for the podcasts!
Thanks for the entertainment!
Thanks so much for all of the fabulous music this week! GA was amazing as expected and Scrubs was absolutely hilarious! I can't even think of Turk's dance without laughing. And as a long time fan of Mandy, I thought she fit in perfectly. Thanks again!
awesome music selection as always
found your site by accident but i am ever thankful for it...I love Grey's Anatomy and it has amazing music...keep it coming...you're doing a fantastic job!!!
Thanks for the awesome songs this week!
And I am all for a podcast, as long as you mention Grey's Anatomy and The OC in it.
Speaking of Grey's, it was so incredibly awesome this week! And the DVD is out now - are you going to buy it?
thank you so much!
Totally loved Grey's Anatomy this week. The use of "Breathe" was brilliant. I don't even love that song, but it was perfect. Patrick Demphsey was in this ABC Family movie on this weekend called "Lucky 7" and he was great. Yeah, I liked an ABC Family movie. So what? I acutally love that channel...
The OC, on the other hand, sucked BIG TIME.
Could have told you before Love Monkey even aired that it wouldn't last very long. I don't know why this can be obvious to me and not network execs...why am i still a lowly assistant?? but enough of my depression...
Oh Donald Faison, how I love you. First in Clueless the movie, then the 2 or 3 times I watched the Clueless show, then on Felicity, and now dancing your heart out on Scrubs, which I sadly don't get to see very often as I don't have cable (I know! gasp!) so only see shows that I watch at other people's houses.
Thanks again for spending the time to find & post all this great music.
For anyone who likes KT Tunstall (featured on Grey's Anatomy a couple of times this season), there was a good interview with her on NPR a couple weeks ago, and you can listen to 3 tracks from her live performance there:

Thanks for your great site, it's the only way I get my GA music fix. I know "Homebird" by Foy Vance isn't listed on your site, but if you ever do get your hands on it, could you please post it. I've googled and been to his website, but I couldn't find that song.
Again, great job and please keep this up! Thank you!
Your blog is wonderful! I've told everyone I know about it. I love all the Scrubs bits. By the way, there's a nice feature on Scrubs in the new issue of Giant. Cheers!
Hey! That neverending math equation song is a Modest Mouse tune. I don't know who that sun kil moon guy is, but he's got great taste. Is it wrong that he took a somewhat obscure song and covered it and it gets sold to O.C.?
Whatever. I just wanted to brag about the fact that I ID'd something obscure.
-Flick
Thanks again for all the great music!
