Quick update. I'm writing this from Tulsa, OK. No offense to any Oklahoma readers, but good god, your state is pretty horrible. Of course, all I've seen of it is Hawthorne Suites. Which I'm pretty sure has been the setting for a horror movie... or an actual murder. Okay, enough complaining. I just wanted to say that I'm still in the middle of my cross-country move, but will soon have all the finale songs once I settle into LA. Sorry for the delay and if any of you live in Albuquerque, NM or Las Vegas, NV, email me with some restaurant/tourist suggestions! Thanks!

The worst thing about Oklahoma is that their beer isn't even full strength. What is a person to do in the middle of nowhere except get drunk? And there it takes twice as much time! For shame, Oklahoma. For shame.

Enjoy the rest of your trip. :)

Similar to the poster before me, I really hope you were able to watch the Grey's Anatomy Season Finale. It was breathtaking (not to exaggerate). Have fun traveling across the nation.

For shame on all you Oklahoma bashers! I grew up here, left for a while, and was never so glad to see anything as I was to see the "Entering Oklahoma" sign when I moved back. You just didn't go to the right places.

Go to high finance (or just ride the tram)-it's the restaurant on top of the Sandia Mts. YOu have to take the tram to get there, the view is gorgeous, if it's too windy it doesn't run, but it's at the base of the mountain on the albuquerque side off of tramway.
THANKS WE Love Your blog

I second that suggestion to go to High Finance. I went several years ago, and we planned our meal for close to sunset so we could watch the lights come up over the city from the restaurant. You can ck out for menu and info.

I was born and raised in OK. I don't live there now, but you won't ever find nicer people anywhere. Unfortunately, you selected one of the worst areas of Tulsa to stay in. I lived in Tulsa for a while, and that place is one of the wealthiest oil cities. I could have suggested some great dining options for you. Travel safely!

Oh dear, I'm actually a Mary-Poppins-Londoner from England so I'm pretty much as useless as somebody can be with regards to suggestions.

You're high. Crazy. Off your meds. Get out of your Hawthorne Suite and check out Midtown Tulsa. And our ranches, one of which I reside on.
And don't judge a city by the bad hotel you're staying in, homeboy.
