Tunerrific Tuesday

Trying to get a few posts in before the big move out west. So I caught up on Sunday's GA episode. Sweet Lord, that was sad. I need to stop watching it with other people though, as I can only hold back the waterworks for so long. Around the third act break is when I usually go to the bathroom, drown all the toilet paper in tears, and then walk out asking if we can switch to Spike real quick to catch some UFC. And a nice performance by John Cho, who coincidentally used to tutor my roommate back in the day. My roommate now makes a gazillion dollars at Goldman Sachs, so I guess John must've done a decent job. Anyways, only two shows with good songs since my Friday post:
How I Met Your Mother - "Milk"
"Mother of Pearl" - Roxy Music

Grey's Anatomy - "Damage Case"
"Oh My Love" - Inara George
"Tragedy (Austin Cello Version)" - Brandi Carlile
"Nowhere Warm" - Kate Havnevik
"On The Radio" - Regina Spektor
"Something Good" - The Legends
*thanks Megan and Krissi!

Link for Roxy Music - Mother of Pearl - www.sendspace.com/file/wyhjh6

"The legends" appear to be a pretty obscure band, having said that, i won't be suprised if a link turns up on this page.

Great Ep of Grey's Anatomy BTW.

Man, I love when GA uses Brandi Carlile. I bought her CD after they used "What Can I Say" (which I think I downloaded from you?) and I'm so glad I did. The cello version of "Tragedy" just makes me cry my eyes out.

Thanks again for la musica.

I thought CA was just a trip, but now it sounds like a move. So did you get a writing job out there? Maybe on a show called, "How I Met Your Mother"? Regardless I hope things go well. Thanks as always for the music and your great taste in television.

I haven't watched How I Met... since the pilot, but now that I know they're playing songs like Roxy Music's "Mother of Pearl", I might have to give them another try.

Thursdays are my night to catch up on TV...thanks to my lovely DVR. Just watched GA and the season finale of The Office. Between listening to the great music you've posted and watching the Jim and Pam saga unfold, I'm a happy camper.
