The Coast With The Most

Alright nerds, you can finally add Jason Schwartzman's song, "The West Coast," to your MySpace profiles. I already did. No more listening to the version ripped from the episode with Ryan and Taylor talking in the background. What? You know what I'm talking about. No, you don't? Wow, I'm kind of a huge loser.

Anyway, the song is streaming in its entirety here. The album hits iTunes in April and stores in the summer. Huzzah!

*UPDATE: Here's the mp3 ripped from the above MySpace. Sound quality is a little weak, but at least you can listen on your iPod now. Of course, make sure you purchase the track when it's released in April.

Oh, how weird! We must be soulmates, Sonny, because I was just singing that under my breath as I clicked my Anyway, glad to hear it! The ripped/edited version was starting to embed itself in my brain. "Stay a little longer... please." I love Phantom Planet, and I love Jason Schwartzman even more -- imagine my embarrassingly belated surprise when I found out they were one and the same.
Good times. Adding to MySpace right now! :D

Is there any way to download the song to play outside of MySpace? I don't really know how MySpace works.

Also can you be a darling and remind us when it's available in iTunes?

Best. News. Ever.

I can now quietly delete the Ryan/Taylor version of the song from my iTunes and pretend I haven't listened to it 224 times.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Thanks again, Sonny! I had this song in my playlist on my iPod and a couple of my friends decided to hook it up to some speakers in a math class. When they heard the audio rip of "The West Coast" they all started looking at me funny. I quickly explained to them that it was from a scene of The O.C.

You are awesome for posting the rip.

I think I've slowly been going crazy having to listen to Taylor's ex husband talk over the other version.

Hey Melanie,
Soulmates indeed! Glad you love the tune too. And just fyi, I believe Schwartzman left Phantom Planet a year or two ago... he was their drummer only on the first album. Sorry if you knew that already. =)

Hi Anon 12:10,
Hope you were able to download the ripped version.

Hey Steph,
224 times eh? Impressive. =)

Hi Megan,
Jason Schwartzman is indeed awesome. My friend met Schwartzman in real life, said he was really short. That's all I got.

Hey Kathy,
You're welcome. Love the story!
