It's Always SONNY In Philadelphia

I've received the above line via text message or email about 15 times since Friday. Why? Well first, my friends love puns. And second, my writing partner and I are now writers for the FX comedy It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia!

As usual, blogging has been sporadic lately, but not because of the Sonny Lee-laziness you all have grown to hate. No, it's been a hectic few weeks post-strike, filled with exec meetings, showrunner meetings, and lots of free water.

Last Monday, we had the pleasure of meeting with the three stars/writers/producers of Sunny, and a week later, today, we're starting our first day on staff. Holy awesomeness.

I couldn't be more excited, and it feels pretty amazing to start on a show that was already a favorite in my Facebook profile. I, along with legitimate critics, have been urging you to watch for a while, and now, I'll be reminding you to tune in much, MUCH more often. This'll be the fourth season, with the premiere date TBA.

You can check out all of Season One and Three on Hulu, but for you non-account holders, I've pasted my three favorite episodes below (OC-fans should definitely check out the Autumn Reeser episode).

Thanks to EVERYONE who's followed this blog, the lovers and the haters, as you both have helped keep my "silly pipe dreams" alive! I'll post again soon! (Probably not)

Congratulations! I think It's Always Sunny might actually be my favorite show of the past several years, except Veronica Mars of course. I can't wait to see/hear what you do. Every episode is a new crazy adventure and new episodes can't come soon enough.

Wow, that is awesome news. Congratulations! Sounds like you have a pretty hysterical few months coming up. Definitely one of the best shows on tv.
Apparently I'll be the first commenter with a request: More Charlie.

Hey Amber,
Miss you too. It was great catching up the other day!

Thanks a bunch. I've been meaning to add you to the blogroll... I'll do that now.

Hey Roxy,

Yo Flick,
I heard you were in LA the other day. I wish I could've seen your beautiful face.

Hi Kiran,
Thanks! Unfortunately, show's LA-based, so no NYC. But I do intend on visiting as soon as I save up some cash!

Hello Annie,
Thanks! I'm gonna hold you to that promise!

Hey Claire,
Maybe? Playing hard to get!

Hi Vaedri,
Thank you!

Hey Jared,
I whole-heartedly agree.

Hi Starseuss,
Please tell me that's your real name. Did you like Season Three of VM? I stopped mid-way out of boredom. Anyway, thanks and I'm glad you like "Sunny"!

Hey Karen,
Thanks! Two days in, and I've laughed more than I have in a year. (It was a very depressing year) But yeah, I feel like a lot of people share your "more Charlie" request!

Hi Chris Vaughn,
Thank you sir.

Hi Neel,

Hello Jane,
Thank you! Puns are the best.

Hey Michelle,

Sorry, my real name is Amanda. It's just easier to use a pseudonym with all the Amandas in the world. Season three of VM wasn't quite as good, but I watched to the end.

Dude that is the best news in the universe. I'm such a huge fan of the show (it ranks in the top 5 all time)and its awesome that a fellow blogger and NBC survivor has done so well. Did you turn down other jobs for the mere fact that you could use your name as a pun in the title of this post. Because I would. In a heartbeat. But no show has the word Josh in it...yet. Congrats again man!
